Terms and Conditions
Course Commencement: All course spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Your place will only be confirmed on either payment in full or the course deposit depending on the chosen course. Please note that your place will not be reserved until you have made the necessary payment. We reserve the right to decline applications. All courses have a minimum number of attendees for the course to run.
Course Content: Mike Taylor Education will deliver the course to the best of our ability. Courses that include a qualification (eg, NVQ qualifications) will meet the criteria and standard as set by the awarding organisation and Ofqual. We have the right to make any changes to the course content which are necessary to comply with any changes to Industry best practice, any applicable law or safety requirement, or which do not materially affect the nature or quality of the course and which do not affect the course accreditation. Mike Taylor Education will only use educators who are experienced and qualified to the standard required to deliver the training.
Course Pre-Requisites: It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the minimum level of ability required for the course. If you are unsure as to whether your level of experience is adequate then please contact Mike Taylor Education and a trade test can be arranged. When booking a course, you are confirming that you have the necessary ability to undertake that course. Refunds will not be given where it subsequently transpires that you do not have the necessary expertise. In such cases, Mike Taylor Education has the right to transfer you to another course or remove you from the course without a refund.
Attendance: Mike Taylor Education has the absolute exception of full attendance. If for any reason you are going to be absent or late, you must notify the academy manager by email no later than 9am on that day. Continuous failure to notify us of absence or lateness without justifiable cause may result in you being withdrawn from the course without a refund. You should understand and accept that any absence will adversely impact your learning and will reduce the total number of clients you complete.
Tools and Equipment: It is recommended that all learners have their own equipment. We can provide the tools and equipment required for day courses. For full or part time NVQ courses, we do not expect you to purchase equipment prior to starting the course. The academy has everything you will need to get started but it is expected that learners will build up their own kit throughout the course. It shall be your absolute responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of your own equipment.
Cancellations and Refunds: Once booked, you cannot cancel your place on the course. For NVQ courses, deposits are non-refundable. If you fail to attend a booked course you will not be entitled to a refund or offered an alternative course. If you have failed to attend a course because of a medical condition, we may at our absolute discretion, on being presented with a valid medical certificate, offer you a place on an alternative course of equivalent value, subject to availability. We may, at our absolute discretion, agree to accept a substitute learner in your place subject to the learner having the required experience and/or qualification. If you fail to attend or complete the course for any reason you will not be entitled to a refund.
